| HISTORY: KCIC CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS The KCIC (Keep Christ In Christmas) ornament collection began with the Prophecy series of personalized porcelain ornaments. Two years later, the Fulfilled series was introduced, a storage box and color coordinated gift packaging were added. In 2001 hand painted Events Gold glass ornaments were added. In Fall 2002 the collection expands with the Impact personalized series, Nativity Gold porcelains and Events Silver glass ornaments. KCIC has been selling Christmas ornaments over the Internet for four years and is a member of the Web Chamber of Commerce and the Christian Business League. All KCIC Christmas Ornaments focus on the Birth of Jesus Christ. The "Redeemer" collection has three series of personalized ornaments with a Christmas Bible verse on the front. The "Prophecy" series is a paraphrase of Isaiah 7:14/Matthew 1:23 in 24K gold. The "Fulfilled" verse is Luke 2:11 in platinum. "Impact" is a paraphrase of Luke 1:68 in metallic copper. Joy will be released in 2003. A personalized metal name plate in the text color is mounted on the back of each ornament. New for 2002, the "Renaissance Spirit" collection of porcelains feature Renaissance-era Nativity paintings on the front with Christmas Bible verse on the back. A customized solid brass easel or gold painted metal ornament stand is included for display. KCIC associates the shapes of their Advent Story Events Glass ornaments with four of the miracles surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ. The Heart corresponds to the Immaculate Conception and Marriage of Mary and Joseph, the Bell corresponds to the Annunciation of His birth by an army of angels, the Star symbolizes the Coming of the Magi, and the Teardrop symbolizes the holy family's Flight to Egypt. Attached to each ornament is a small booklet with a paraphrase of the related Bible verses. A set of four ornaments has the entire Biblical account of the birth of Jesus Christ.

What motivated KCIC to create these ornaments?
KCIC Ornaments were born out of a deep desire to own fine quality Christmas ornaments that honor the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. "The Christmas decoration industry has done an excellent job of making Christmas a religious holiday that appeals to the non-religious. Santa Clause, stars, angels, snow men, etc. are also widely associated with this holiday season. But in the process, the advent of Jesus Christ and the message of God's salvation has been obscured. KCIC ornaments focus on the birth of Jesus Christ. To us, He is the heart and soul of Christmas," said company spokesperson E. P. Walker. 2. Are you concerned that the Bible verses on some of your ornaments may offend people of different religions who celebrate Christmas but don't believe the same way you do? It is not our intention to offend any person. There is a place for all types of decorations that honor the positive aspects of Christmas. When we started out, all of the Christian stores and distributors we contacted said there was no market for our products. One person felt there might be a small, almost negligible market and one store that accepted one ornament on a consignment basis. We prayed and asked God for wisdom. Rather than give up altogether, we decided to move ahead by selling over the Internet. It has been a viable, welcoming venue for our niche products. 5. Why are your Bible verse ornaments personalized? Our verses are carefully selected for their highly personal application. The paraphrases were created from our own prayerful study of multiple translations of Scripture. It was our sincere desire that a name plate with a personal inscription from a loved one would prompt recipients to internalize the Bible verse on our ornaments. We now know, that goal has been accomplished. For most recipients "God is with us" feels like "God is with me", and "unto you is born a Saviour" feels like "unto me is born a Saviour" and so on for each of our personalized ornaments. 6. Why do you have three different shapes in your porcelain ornaments? Variety! We've discovered each shape appeals to a different type of person. Some sell better than others, but we plan to continue offering our customers a choice. 7. I see your company also makes custom Christmas ornaments?
